First off, I need to wish a very special man happy birthday. Today is my father's 51st birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAY DAD!!! I recently realized that next year, I will be the same age that he was when I was born. Maybe he and I should do something to commemorate the event?

Sorry for the long lapse between journal entries, but something in my psyche triggered a retreat mode. It happened right after the Healing Circle, so I'm wondering if I just didn't ground enough. I guess I'll find out tonight because there's another Healing Circle. After the last Healing Circle, I felt that I was pulling away from a lot of people. Sorry if you were one of 'em, but it must've been neccessary.

I'm working on a new twist to the Healing Circle for the College. It's going to be called Sacred Mists Monster Bash. At the Monster Bash instead of healing people, we're going to be attacking the medical monsters. A few of these monsters are HIV, Cancer, and Diabetes. It's going to take place once a month and focus on one monster each month.

I just finished reading the most incredible book. It has easily become my favorite non-fiction book. It is called "The Soul Beneath the Skin" by David Nimmons. It is a beautiful manifesto of the potential that the gay male community has to re-create society based on love and comraderie. If this interests you, you can check out Manifest Love. This is the movement that has been created through the ideas that are addressed in the book. Sorry to all my lesbian sisters, but it seems this is a gay male only thing. However, don't let that make you angry. Read the book and create a group for yourself. I'm sure the men who have started Manifest Love would be more than happy to help our homosexual sisters.

Chris and I had a great weekend. We went bar hopping in West Hollywood on Friday. We went with a co-worker of Chris', Billy, and Billy's boyfriend, Paul. They are a really cute couple. Paul's a Tori fan and a writer as well. I get the feeling we're going to be great friends. Anyways, the four of us went to a place called the Abby, which is off of Santa Monica on Robertson. It is an wonderful club that feels very spiritual, probably because it's done up to look kinda like a monastery. I loved the spectrum of people who go there. It is one of the most diverse groups I've seen, especially in WeHo. We waited at the Abby for Tom (Billy and Paul's friend) and Tina (Tom's friend and co-worker). Tom is a gorgeous man with a great soul. I'd really like to know him better and no I don't mean sexually. Tina reminded me of a mix of Tori Amos and Tiffany. O.K., some people may see that as an insult but from me, it is a compliment. Tina has a great heart and I'd really like to hang out with her a little more. After they arrived, we stayed at the Abby for about an hour or 2, could be 3. LOL! We then went to the Revolver on Santa Monica. Chris did end up making an ass of himself by the time the night was over, but I still love him.

Chris and I ordered a Bowflex and it arrived yesterday. Luckily, Chris was home when it came. He had it set up by the time I got home from work. He didn't tell me that it came, so I was surprised when I got home. I'm hoping to give it a try tonight after the Healing Circle.

Well, I guess that's about it for now. Happy birthday Dad! I'm sure you're working, but try to enjoy it nonetheless.
