Well, as I mentioned in my first entry or maybe it was at the opening page, I'm not very good when it comes to daily journals. I apologize for taking a very long time to write again, but hey, at least I did.
Oh! I almost forgot! Inspiration struck again in glorious rainbow technicolor! This part of the journal entry is a "YooHoo" for all my "rainbow family" that may be reading this! I want us all to come together as a "family" and create a holiday. I figure Gay Pride Day is perfect because it has significance for us anyways. I want a holiday that's like Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving all rolled into one. I think on Pride Day we should give gifts to members of your "family" to show how much we appreciate them and that we recognize and honor the struggle and victory that being a Rainbow Child includes. I'd like to keep it as uncommercial as possible, but I'd also like to hear about it spreading worldwide. Let's buy fake trees at Christmas so we can put up Fabulous Pride Trees for Gay Pride. Let's exchange rainbow or gay themed gifts. For us crafty Translesbigay (I like how that sounds) people, we can make handmade gifts. Those of you who are part of my "family" can expect rainbow knitted stuffs. Let's spread our combined Pride like wildfire! There's no limit to all the fun stuff you can do to celebrate OUR holiday and nobody can tell you that you're doing it wrong, as long as it shows a PRIDE in who and what you are and who and what your "family" is. Keep me posted if you like this idea, maybe I'll add you to my list of Pride Day Cards that need to be mailed out.
O.K. let me see, what has happened since April 7th. I'm finally starting that freelance web design project for my friend Bridget's boyfriend. It's for the online mortgage company he works for. When it's finished I'll put a link to it in my links section, possibly under its own folder called Freelanced Stuff or something to that effect. I'm almost done with it and I probably would be if their hosting site wasn't experiencing technical difficulties at the moment. I've gone back to the gym after being away from it for a couple of months. I've been working out after work and it sucks because I have to wait so long for the machines I need, so I may be changing my work out schedule. I'm thinking I may go work out in the mornings before work on Mondays and Wednesdays, then work out on Saturday and Sunday. While working out in the mornings is going to suck, at least I'll be getting the benefit of being able to get on the machines with very little wait time.
Chris and I did a little shopping last weekend. We bought some faux-grass stuff to cover the floor of our balcony. We also bought a bird-feeder, a hummingbird feeder, 2 chairs for the balcony, and a kick-ass blender.
The cutting down smoking failed in its final week. I'm back up to a full pack. Oh well, I guess I'll have to try again soon.
The change in eating inhabits is going incredibly well. Chris made an incredible dinner last night. It was Seitan (a meat substitute made from the gluten in flour) Fajitas and Spanish Rice! It was so filling!!! I've also successfully made my first batch of Seitan/Gluten at home last weekend. We cooked that with a stir-fry we made, which ended up being a really good meal as well. Chris is a fantastic cook. Funny how it took changing eating style for me to find this out about him.
I suppose that's about it! At least, that's all I can remember at the moment. I will try to do better about the writing! Talk to you soon, hopefully!
