Insomnia

If I remember correctly, I wrote this one when staying the night at my cousin Becky's. I was stinking drunk and couldn't sleep. If I also remember correctly, this was the same night that I came out to her and her boyfriend (now husband) Roger, who is the older brother of Liz (the girl I proposed to) and David (the second guy I slept with).

I'm still awake and not asleep.
In the night I always creep.
Other people snore away,
But awake I will always stay.

No matter how hard I try,
I can't sleep so I sigh.
Nytol didn't get my Z's.
I suffer from a disease.

I tried relaxation and all that crap.
I tried writing poems to fill the gap.
Nothing has seemed to work,
So at night I remain to lurk.

Insomnia is what I got.
Dreaming, Sleeping is what I sought.
