A little known game, which happened to be the Neverhood's final game as one company, Boombots, came to existence in November, 1999.  Dreamworks Interactive, developer/publisher of The Neverhood and Skullmonkeys, helped little with this game from Doug T. and co.  SouthPeak Interactive, a developer and publisher with a small resume, took the job.  The result was taken into caring arms by the Neverhood fans and idols of Doug and his partners, while the game was shunned, hated by, and misunderstood by the average video game fan who saw this as a cheap version of Tekken, a popular Playstation fighting game.  Most common reviewers gave it bad scores, but here is what is the game called Boombots.
Boombots is a game about spacecats from a distant planet, led by a mastermind cat named Mandu, trying to take over the planet Earth.  Dr. Pick, an American scientist, creates a slew of insane, yet powerful robots called Boombots to stop the alien invasion.  As you fight through the game, you will see this odd, yet constantly changed, plot unfold before you.  This is Boombots.
