1. Mandatory practices/Meets will be held 5 days a week. Athletes are expected to be at all meets/practices. Exceptions must be approved by a coach.

4. Personal absences:
Each team member will have a bank of three days to use at his or her discretion during the year. These days may be used for any reason (academic tutoring, review sessions, family vacations, school visits, school sponsored educational trips, miscellaneous illnesses, etc.) These days may only be used for practices (no meets).
If, and when, a team members has used their "free" days, additional days will result in a penalty. If a fourth practice is missed the team member will forfeit his/her participation in the next scheduled meet.
The only exceptions to the above would be time missed due to a death in the family, religious holidays, or an absence due to illness. A doctor's note may be required at coaching staff or school administrator's discretion.
Any absences must be reported to a member of the coaching staff prior to the absence, when possible.
5. Absences the day of a meet. Please call Coach Tracy at home if you know the night before or have a message placed in Coach Tracy's mailbox or email ([email protected]) by 10:30 a.m.
6. No jewelry at practices or meets. We are guests in other pools and it will be enforced in our new facility. (This applies to males and females.)
7. Plan on participating at practices. Tardiness, prolonged or frequent bathroom breaks, or "sitting out" parts of practice could effect the coaching staff's decisions on level of involvement in meets.
8. No food or gum in the pool area. Plastic drink bottles are permitted and encouraged. Drink bottles and any other debris needs to be properly discarded by the swimmer at the end of practice/meet. No sharing of bottles or drinking directly from the water jug. No cups will be provided by the school for athletes.
9. The pool office(s) is/are off limits to swimmers at all times.
10. Managers will work from the bleachers.

12. Discipline is required. This applies to the individual and the team. A discipline problem could cause you to be suspended from the team or possibly be removed from the team. The length of the suspension will be determined by the coach and/or the school administration. Team discipline means that each member of the team will assist and encourage other members to follow team policies.
13. Parking: Arrangements have been made to allow the swimmers and divers to utilize the parking spots at the tennis courts. Cars should be registered and backed into spaces. If they are full, you will need to use the student lot and walk through he school. No parking in the pool circle.

16. Sign-offs - Before a person may practice the following sign-offs must be turned in:
No jeans or sneakers or T-shirts.
Sweater, coats and/or tie for males
Dresses, skirts, or dress slacks for females
Special dress codes will be announced
Only school issued sweats or Dallastown swimming apparel are permitted.
Swimmers/Divers are to be on pool deck for entire meet. Do not go into the stands, hallways, or stay in locker rooms.
Dallastown swimmers should try to stay in their lane until the last competitor has completed the race.
No personal music system on deck.
Swimmers and divers should meet for a team cheer and handshake immediately upon completion of the meet. Captains will lead the cheer.
Meet teardown is required at home meets.
After the above are completed, swimmers and divers may go to locker room and/or hallways, lobby, or stands.
To Meets - Quiet - time to concentrate and focus
From Meets - coaches will decide on seating. Return on the same bus you arrived on unless coaches approve otherwise.
Swimmers/Divers must return on the bus unless approved by coach. A written request is required (parent signature)
