Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy VIII are delt with in a rather different manner than Final Fantasy VII. You need not level up a character, enguage in a set number of battles, or use the limit break a certain number of times in order to obtain the next limit break. Rather some characters are given their limit breaks at the begining of the game, while others get better limit breaks when they obtain certain items, or Remodel their weapons. Squall's Limit breaks in particular can be the most deadly artifice of the player.

Squall's Limit Break is called Renzokuken. Renzokuken delivers massive amounts of damage against multiple enemies or a single boss then concludes with finishing touch of either Rough Divide, Fated Circle, Blasting Zone, or if you have his Leonheart Gunblade, the most awesome Leonheart Limit Break.
