FOR A FRIEND
how do i find you? what is the key?
what is the lift that will float you to me
from across the world nine hundred miles
that will bring me the voice that belongs to the smiles.
the voice that belongs to the soul of a poet
who can remove her own heart and easily show it
who through her own writings can lay herself bare,
something the weak would not easily dare
she is something the rest of the world seeks to be
a spirit that through her own truths is set free.
a spirit you seek, one which you must heed
one which you know will quiet a need,
will quiet the longing and quiet the pain
and with soul searing truth will bring life again.
she is something so special in a world that can't see it
a world that has merely asked that she be it
by giving her sight to what's deep inside
where others know truth yet keep it denied.

Daydream
driving home, he thinks of her,
of her and little more
wanting only in his life
her love behind the door
to turn the knob and find her there
the reason that he breathes
there's beauty, truth and honesty
though love is all he sees
yet she's not there, not in his house.
she's somewhere far away
he wishes he could be with her
and hold her on this day
for him it's faith it comes down to
she's there but can't be touched
her love would heal his wounded soul
and free him of so much
will he ever touch her hand
his spirit to be freed
will his angel ever come
to answer all his needs
without your love he's just a man
a tortured questing soul
please give to him his heart and life
your love his only goal
 
 

I gaze upon your soul feeling you have made me complete,
your enticing charm has blown me off of my feet
a thousand times I wanted say
how much I desire you, for you to point your love this way
but atlast you are unaware of how I dream,
and how much talking to you truly mean.
Yet in still I am afraid
what can be said, what could be portrayed.
So I stare into your eyes everyday,
hoping you ask for this shorty to swing your way.
Oh, don't worry, I will have you here
to be the funk in my thigh, the whisper in my ear.
But time is what I have, and plenty of it,
I won't wait forever, I won't continue to sit.
You will fill my warmness inside,
and once you're here, don't run and hide.
Be about your lust, be about your desire,
baby grab me by my hair and set my soul on fire.
open your eyes to see, what discreet wonders you will find.
I know you will come to me in your hour of temptation,
until then I perspire with anticipation.
 
 
 

Dreaming of You
My eyes follow you,
With every step you take.
My heart beats faster,
With every move you make.
My breath becomes faster,
As you turn and look at me.
As your eyes look deep into mine,
I wonder what they see?
You wait for me
As I walk to wards you,
My eyes not daring
To meet yours.
I pick up your aftershave as I near,
My heart screams love,
My body is ablaze.
I lift my gaze and meet your eyes,
I see a flicker of excitement
Cross your face,
As you turn and match my pace.
As a couple we walk along,
The waves crashing silently
Alongside us,
The breeze blowing us together,
And in my dreams we slip away
Into a sweet sunset.
 

Best Friends
The journey of life is one which is
Not meant to be faced alone,
And while love may leave you feeling blessed,
It can leave you with no one.
But through everything, both good and bad,
From beginning until end,
The one thing that you can depend upon,
Is that I'll always be your best friend.
I will never forget all you've done for me,
And I am sure that you will do more.
I hope you know that I am here for you too,
Because that's what friends are for.
We have been through so much together,
And I am grateful for every day,
I think I would be lost without you;
Your friendship guides my way.
Together we have gotten older,
Hopefully we'll grow older together still,
I hope you will treasure all our memories forever,
Because I know I always will.
And even though we may drift apart,
And not spend as much time together,
In spirit you'll be with me every step of the way...
Because best friends are forever.

Although you are so far away

and in my soul.

Special Someone
Are you that special someone,
The one to chase my pain away?
Are you the one to hold me close,
To make me smile each day?
Everyone has been telling me,
That you will treat me right,
You've made me feel so happy,
You've been a guiding light.
So maybe I should thank you,
For being a really good friend,
For being caring, sweet and charming,
You're my perfect new boyfriend.
Back in the days when I was lost,
I wonder where you were then.
Back when I was lonely,
When I needed a helping hand.
Then there were the days when I
Had someone that I called mine.
So you and me, we couldn't have been,
For it wasn't our place and time.
But now we're living in the present,
Taking each day as it comes.
And I'm so glad I found you,
For you could be that special someone.

Sometimes

exactly who we are,

the further we drift apart.

then we are as far apart
as we can possibly be.
