All I Gotta Do Is, Act Naturally

Some of TGF's prettiest readers have agreed to share with us their favorite style, beauty and "how-to" tips. This time we hear from one beautiful lady, with some of her tips on how she achieves her look.

Naturally

The most important thing to me is to look as natural as possible and as much like natural woman as you can. To help me achieve that look I don't use any padding anywhere. My favorite bra is a Marilyn Monroe model by Warner's that is as shear as hose and enhances the natural shape and look of my breasts which are size A. A bra should always fit naturally, showing off YOUR breasts, no padding. Size really doesn't matter that much.

Hair

The most important article to me is a wig. My hair is thin and receding and without a wig I definitely would be read by most. Once again, choose a style that appears as natural as possible; preferably short unless you are very young or can pass very easily. Also height helps as you get older. I have a very long shag wig that I wear when I want to camp it up and wear wild clothes or jeans, but even then I put it in a ponytail with a barette in the back. When buying a wig, try not wearing anything feminine and no makeup. The wig that looks best naturally will feminize your features much more when you are dressed and wearing makeup.

Makeup

Now to makeup, to me less is more. Eyes are the most important, next lips. Use eye makeup sparingly, use eyeshadow to create color to bring out your eyes, not look like makeup. Use eyeliner lightly on bottom lid and a little more on the top. Do not close lines or you may look like Batman. Natural women can get away with this easier. Try not to use a black liner, a softer color will look more natural, I use a charcoal grey. Next is mascara, the most important here you can use black. Accentuate your lashes as much as possible, going over the lash two or three times but without caking, a dead giveaway.

You have to find a shade of lipstick that looks as natural as possible with your coloring. Shades of wine I find best for most times, pinkish mauves usually during the day and occasionally red for the dressiest occasions. I don't use lip liner that shows, because that would accent my lips which aren't a plus feature. I do use liner to help apply lipstick easier but you won't see it. I reapply lipstick constantly throughout the day. Try not to apply more lipstick than necessary or you will look clownish. For foundations, creams, powders... find shades that are as close to your natural coloring as possible and accent with a soft blush. To sum up use as little makeup as possible except for mascara. It takes me about 10 minutes to apply all of my makeup, and most of the time is spent on my lips because they are very thin. I also find that applying liquid makeup to my legs and arms when wearing a dress helps to hide imperfections.

Nails

For nails I recommend clear nailpolish for most. On my nails clear appears more feminine. Darker polish would be a giveaway and I have small hands and long fingers. I use red polish on my toenails which I find very sexy, but if you have masculine feet don't use any.

Pantyhose

As for hose, I wear pantyhose. I'm a little softie and the control top helps. I find natural shades the best unless I'm wearing black. Then I wear black or off black pantyhose. Hanes Shear Silk Reflections are my favorites. I also wear black opaque for more casual wear when it is cold and with boots. They flatter the leg and make it appear thinner.

Outfit

For dress I find normal fitting clothes the best. I never wear anything extremely tight. My favorite dresses fit me naturally enhancing my natural shape. Tight clothing is a giveaway.

I always wear jewelry. One ring on each hand, a watch, and usually a bracelet or two on one hand. Not too much. Also a necklace and definitely earrings. If you have masculine hands, wear very little jewelry.

I hope I have helped. Summing up, for most try to create the illusion. Don't draw attention to features that are masculine. Try not to over do it. Be natural.

Stay well & pretty!!!
