If I had never been sick,
Then I would never know:
How powerful my brain is.
How strong my will to
Survive is.

I would have missed out on
Getting to know many interesting,
Friendly people.
On understanding
How it is to have
So many people
Who care about me
Even though they only know me
for a short time.

I learned how strong
My husband and my family
Love me.

I suffer,
But not alone.

I learn,
But not alone.

I learn that society
Supports those who need
help both economically and mentally.

I learn about stress,
And how important it is
To relax.

I learn that people
Are different
But all are equally important and worthwhile.

I learn that pain
Goes over
With time and support.

I learn
the from Suffering
Comes Learning...
