What's behind my eyes?
There's a tale of sorrow, a tale of joy,
a tragedy of untrue love, and a peace of true love.
The true love is now with me forever for I found
it within and connected to the universal love and
energy that I call God.
Those who I let touch me have not seen so softly,
deeply into my soul as you my true love.
You came to me in dreams.
I knew that there was something more waiting for
me to step up.
I broke my heart - my eyes went dead,
But you caught me before I fell this time -
It would have been too much.
I found my heart of gold,
When I welcome your love fully into my heart.
But then it was too good to be true
And I became lost in the unreal,
I lost you, I lost me, I lost the world.
In the darkness of my soul -
Blackened by all the fire I had sought to punish
myself, I found one single light of burning hope
And it has lit my way through life all the time.
The ups and downs of my life were all valuable
To bring me to this place where I rest in love
and peace.
All I need to be fulfilled is
My own light of love.
I have it burning bright.
I love to share the light that radiates from
my entire being with the world.
I'm not saying good-bye to pain,
I'm saying hello to facing this world from a
whole, loving being.
I am love, loving, loved, alive, living, and
open-hearted.
Everything I find inside was always there.
