ATTRIBUTES

Let me introduce another set of tags. Actually these are not tags but attributes or extensions to the tags. The purpose of which, is to insert values or specifications to the command/tags, therefore enabling more variations or specifying characteristics to the normal default output. Not all tags can be given attributes, and while some attributes can be applied to different tags, many of these are tag specific.

We have seen earlier that we can specify some font (default & typwriter text) and style (bold, italic and underlined). Now, using the FONT Command and adding an attribute or a combination of attributes to the font command, we can show more fonts, as well as size and color.

Here is a simple example of a colored application

Ok, in the sample above, the font color is red, green, blue and violet. No font size was established so the size apearing is the browsers default.

The color was accomplished by the using the following command

The tab spacing was accomplished by inserting the names and number between UL and /UL tags,
and the buttons by using Li and /Li.
The complete tag-attributes and lines for the sample above is shown below Notice that because we did not nestle the Li tag withing the Font color tag-attribute, the buttons retain the browsers default color.
If we nestle the Li tag within the Font color tag-attribute, the button will have the same color as the font.
