My name is Richard Silva. My amateur radio call sign is WA6ES. My previous call was KE6ZTQ. I received this call sign by the courtesy of the Vanity call process. The reason that I chose WA6ES is because of the ES. My fathers name was Ephrain Silva. Well if it was not for him I would not be here adding to my webpage. Now for me, I am an Amateur Extra Class operator which I received in 1998,I was President of the Amateur Radio Amateurs of Long Beach in 1998 and the following year I made Ham of the year for the same club. I have tried to remain active in the city activities but as we all know time is tough and we do what we can.. I was active with the Greater Long Beach Red Cross and I will always be active with the ARES group in Long Beach
