Summary
In order to support her family, Hue lies to her husband and works at a bar. She serves wine and dances with customers. When her husband learns of her real profession, he berates her and the bar owner thought he is trying to cause trouble. They beats him to death. Hue gives birth to a baby boy not long after and gives him up to a wealthy family in hope that her son will be able to have a better future and that he will not have to grow up with her dark past.

Twenty-five years later, Nhan beccomes a successfully law student with hopes and dreams of helping others. Hue remarried to Luc, a gambler and abusive husband. He knows about her son and forces her to blackmail the family. During a struggle with Luc, she accidentally kills him. Nhan's adopted parents asks him to defend Hue. During the trial, Nhan is suspicious of Hue and somehow knows that she is his birth mother. After the trial, he brings his adopted father to prison and plead for the truth.

I absolutely love, love this movie! Excellent plot and great performances by both Tai Linh and Vu Linh. I'm very satisfied with Tai Linh's movies lately; happy to see her in movies with dynamic storylines. Fans have always seen TLVL as lovers. Well, they did a great job as mother and son.

Actually, I do have one small criticism to make (which usually applies to most of Vietnamese opera movies). It doesn't make sense that Nhan natural becomes suspicious of his relationship with Hue. How could a person just know that someone is your mother when you had been given up for adoption since birth? That is so unrealistic. I was hoping that the writer didn't modify this part of the storyl�ne and sticked with the original plot. Nhan's acknowledgment of Hue's as his mother was much more realistic through the HK's movie version, which starred Andy Luu Duc Hoa.
