Graduating from Medical College,Orissa,and after doing his post graduation from JIPMER,Pondicherry, Dr.T.P Das did his VR-Vitrectomy fellowship from Aravind Eye Hospital Madurai and Wills Hospital Philadelphia. Presently working as Director Retina Services, L.V. Prasad Eye Institute,he is the recepient of various prestigious awards such as BK Narayan Gold Medal 1995,K Venga Roy Gold Medal 1994, Best Researcher 19995 and the Outstanding ohthalmologist in 1999. He has over 60 publications to his credit and has authored books and chapters in text books. Currently he holds the position of the Editor,Indian Journal of Ophthalmology and is the coordinator Scientific committee VRSI. Endowed with dynamoenergy he has done pioneering work in retinal transplantation and has worked extensively in the management of endophthalmitis. |
