The boot disk is a diskette you can use to start the computer. You have
to restart the computer and see that the disk is in the floppy drive.
In this particular case, your pc will not start in the usual way but a
Command prompt will appear instead of Windows; this command prompt is a
black screen with a blinking cursor patiently waiting for your
commands. I advice you to unzip in the disk also the program files, so
you have easily all the things you need in one disk: for example,
download the BOOT file and unzip it in a disk, after that download traffico and unzip it in the same
disk, at this point restart the pc leaving the disk in the floppy drive
and after a little the blinking cursor will appear. At that point write
traffico
to start the program or traffico s
to load the last map.
Alternatively you can start the pc with the boot disk and search on the
hard-disk the programs you want to run. In this case remember to put
the cwsdpmi.exe
file in the same directory of the program, or remember to manually load
a DPMI before start the program.
After the execution, to restart Windows simply press the famous
combination CTRL-ALT-CANC (remember to remove the disk from the floppy
drive else you restart the command prompt!!) to restart the pc and
normally enter in Windows.
