Former members, and other stuff:

The topic of Poverty's No Crime's new album Autumn Years is man's fear of growing old. They ask questions, such as `Does it make sense and what is the use to prolong one's life with the help of machines?' Does it cure or just prolong one's life with the help of machines?' `How much are we willing to pay for our increasingly braver new world?' And they come up with answers as well, very emotional statements expressed by powerful hymns.
POVERTY'S NO CRIME ARE:
Volker Walsemann (guitar & vocals), who writes the lyrics and also designed the cover for the new CD. Already, for quite some time, he has expressed his feelings about the topic of Autumn Years. Instead of military service, he decided to do community service and worked as an assistant on an ambulance. In this line of work, he often witnessed doctors working with patients for hours, trying to save lives with the help of the most modern machines. Due to working close to elderly people, his views on life has changed entirely: `Live life to the fullest, while you still have the time' and `Man falls victim to machines, you can see that in every hospital.' His being confronted with illness and death on a daily basis has made a strong impression on him and his thoughts are expressed in his lyrics. For the other members of the band, music is part of their every day lives. Marcello 'Cello' Maniscalco, born in Sicily, emphasizes Volker's lead vocals through his expressive background vocals. Andreas 'Theo' Tegeler gives it all on the drums.
POVERTY'S NO CRIME are as straight forward and honest as their music with Autumn Years, recorded at Studio M and produced by John McGowan (Headhunter, X-Wild, Marionettes), the band shows that they have matured since their debut release. The bombast sound includes progressive elements and the `70s touch adds to the unique atmosphere. All in all, Autumn Years stands for great melodic concept rock!
