My dear Govindarajan,

I was very sorry to hear of the sad passing away of your father. I read the news item in the international edition of the ‘Hindu’.

With his passing, the world of Carnatic Music has lost a savant.

There is little that one can say at this time that can serve to mitigate your grief. But, you should find some solace in the service that you rendered him – and the family – during his lifetime.

Please accept our sincerest condolences in your bereavement.

 Yours Sincerely,

     Sd-

  (Rao Sahib)
