Dear Sandhya, Its a treat to my eyes. I read about my dearest chittaiah and the article is so good that even a person who has not known him would understand what a great master he is!
Keep sending articles about him and I would love to read them.
Love
Naliniram

Hello Ms Sandhya
Thanks for sharing this with us. Very interesting and educative (for me at least) to learn all the details and anecdotes about Sri Varadaraja Iyengar.
I have heard a lot about him; but never heard a concert directly. I would love to hear any good recording of his concerts, if you can let me listen to.

Dear Editior:
When you feel thirsty in a hot summer, how would you feel if somebody offers you cool Ganga water in a siver utensil? That was my feeling when I saw the article on Vinjamuri Varadaraja Iyengar. I can't wait for the other two parts to be published.
I thank you and also the writer for such a wonderfully featured article that gives the biographical sketch of a maestro in music.
Thank you
R.Srinivasan

Your Father certainly would have been proud of you and honored by your efforts. He must have been a wonderful person. I have briefly looked at your website and when there are a few more moments, will look more. Thank you so much for Sharing Your Joy.

dear Sandhya,
Loved reading it, though the technical terms went over my head. I wish I was more literate on the subject. when are part 2 and 3 coming out? I think you should include all this information on the original site you created too. I tried looking at the pictures, but the computer was taking forever to download ( ours is a rather outdated computer by current stds), i gave up on it. Should try another time.

Subject: Feedback on Vinjamuri Website
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I was very happy to see the contents of the site reflected his greatness & the sample of music provided was excellent in terms of sound quality. I suggest that you provide on your site a Domnloadable concert of him so present day listeners get an idea of the high standards that prevailed in those days. Maybe you can provide MP3 Files that can be sampled at 128 &16 to suit the internet connections of average speed connected listeners.
I am involved in a site called vidvan.com & if you have time please take a look at it. My interests are to highlight contributions of artists in carnatic music from mid forties to midseventies & will appreciate your inputs on this issue.
Once again congragulations in bringing to attention the contributions of a great soul.
V.K.Viswanathan
P.S.He was kind enough to explain certain subtelities of carnatic music when i was just seventeen & treated me as his equal!

Dear Ms. Sandhya:
I have now completely read all the three parts of your heart touching article on Dr. VVI. I have no words to say thanks to you than simply using the word "thanks". I have felt as if I have walked with you through and have seen the entire life of Dr. VVI from birth to death. Believe me, it is no less than a video! You have the epistolary.
I liked the part when he entertained Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer.
We also understand how affectionate he was to all his children when we read about his feeling at the loss of one son among eleven.
I read with tears in my eyes the part that describes his last day when he was listening to Ariyakkudi's "Sree Subramnyaya Namaste" in Kambodhi. To my surprise I found that that is the same Kriti I listen to very frequently in my life. (Believe me or not, I have listened (many hundred times)to Ariyakkudi's Kambodhi "Sree Subramayaya Namaste" in two different forms: one acoomapnied by Papa on violin and Mani Iyer on Mridangam and another accompanied by Lalgudi on violin and Mani Iyer on Mridangam. Nothing is equal to these renderings!
I wish you contribute more like this to the world of music. The photographs were very nice.
Thanks and regards,
Srinivasan
