David Hidalgo didn't exactly become a household name in 1999, but thanks to his work
with Los Lobos, the Latin Playboys, and Houndog, no current rock musician can claim to be more prolific or proficient
than the L.A. veteran. Though his recording career stretches back to the mid-'80s, Hidalgo seems to be gaining
creative momentum with each new year.
