A pale amber lager with enticing hoppy aroma and mellow palate that supports its moderate heaviness and balances bitterness.
The product is brewed and fermented in the traditional way of making beer and gradually cooled to form ice crystals. The beer is subsequently cold filtered to remove harsh and unwanted flavor compounds which have been entrapped in ice crystals, resulting in a pure and refreshing Blue Ice Beer.
Launched in 1995, the product has an alcohol content of about 4.1% alcohol by weight and a calorie content of approximately 43 calories per 100 ml.
The product is available in 355 ml bottle and 330 ml can.
For two consecutive years, Blue Ice Beer is a Grand Gold Medal winner in the 1996 and 1997 Monde Selection Beer Competition held in Brussels, Belgium.
