Introduction

This study was originally intended to provide a list of legal materials to those who wish to conduct research as to the Turkish legal system's response to the human rights issues. Due to the lack of inadequate number of materials on this aspect, the study has been widened to cover whole body of Turkish law.

This work is a collection of Turkish legal materials written in English. It is classified by item types, books, articles, thesis, decisions and reports, legal texts, dictionaries, and bibliographies. It lists 850 entries, virtually most of the works in English language. Of the total entries, 140 items are books, 494 items are articles, 40 items are thesis, 65 items are decisions and reports, 52 items are legal texts, 5 items are dictionaries and the remaining 40 items are bibliographies. The listing is followed by an subject index which give item numbers for all entries in this bibliography about a particular subject.
