Upcoming Conventions

FALL KINNUS!
Dates: October 19-21, 2007
Who? Grades 9-12 as of September 2007. Please note you must be a paid member of Pinwheel USY to attend
Location: Beautiful Camp Solomon Schechter, Tumwater, WA
Things you should know: This is the most popular regional event, with over 120 people consistantly showing up. What better way to expand your social network than to meet new friends from around the Pacific Northwest. Some of you guys might be think, oh man, this includes shabbat. Trust me guys, shabbat in USY is amazing, there's nothing else like it. There will be a SATO auction of Israeli made items, and on Saturday night there is our regional dance. I'm pretty sure it's costume, but check with Sam or Jacob before you leave. The USY central Shaliach Nahum Binder will be in attendance and will be giving talks. Don't forget about the call to Pinwheel Nativers on sunday morning!
Cost: $169.00 by October 8th, $189.00 after.
Transportation: Will be provided by Beth Israel, cost TBA

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION (IC)
Dates: December 19 - 27, 2007
Who? Grades 9-12 as of September 2007. Please note you must be a paid member of Pinwheel USY to attend
Location: Pre-convention: Temple Beth Am, Los Angeles, CA; Convention: Anaheim, CA
Things you should know: This is the largest USY convention, with over 1200 USYers from all over the USA and Canada participating. During the week of pre-convention we will be hosted by Temple Beth Am USY, and joined by ECRUSY (EE-SEE-ROO-SEE), the Eastern Canada Region of USY. The week includes: Universal Studios, Santa Monica Beach, Westwood, Jewish LA, a wonderful Shabbat experience, DISNEYLAND, Summer Programs Reunions, and more! Don't forget that space is limited, so get your app into Jacob ASAP!
Cost: Including Flights: $1,485.00 US (Remember, it's almost the same [or less] in Canadian) Making own flight arrangements: $1,285.00 US. All you need to bring is spending money, everything else is included!
Forms: IC Application and Pre-convention Application. Note both forms MUST be completed!
