Just happened to find your site as I was surfing about. It would be interesting to compare notes. We would be distantly related through Anne Doane and on a very long shot through Rouse. The first wife of my grandfather (in England) was Rouse. His second wife (my moms mom was Spinks) Unfortunately we don't have much info on the families of both his wifes.

Hello, It is one thirty five in the afternoon on a gloomy almost Central New York like fall day. I am writing from what is usually sunny Colorado. I know right where you are, and I wish I had known who you were a long time ago. Although I am a Colorado native, some of my genealogy roots stretch to Ontario, Canada and Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We have three connections, one , I graduated from the North Syracuse Central School District, class of 1959. Lived in that area from 1950-1959. Was a member of the local Girl Scout Council, who had a camp called Camp Hoover, near Song Mountain. In the icinity of where you are right? I met and married a young man, whose roots are in the Finger Lakes region. We had all of our children in Syracuse Hospitals. As young marrieds, among our favorite places to see the fall colors, were of course south of Syracuse. Favorite haunt on an early Saturday morning was to take the kids to the FArmers Market, north of Onondaga Lake. SEcond connection, we are descendants of the twin, born in the cave with Abraham, his name was John Chapman, descendant Amos, descendent Simpson Chapman,(my Grandmother Julia Chapman Young s grandfather). Simpson Mc Alpine married a Julia McAlpine both residents of Niagra district, Ontario Canada. This is just west and across Niagra FAlls from Buffalo,New York. Julia McAlpine is also a descendant of the same Bradt line you are. I was so curious about the Chapmans as I clicked one the website title on the bottom of the page from the Chapman query list, well I was so surprised and curious about the Bradt surname staring me in the face, that I raced to the Bradt, and then came bac to the Chapman. Wow, this is a red letter week, I have located some more Chapman data on the World Connect, through typing in Simpson Chapman, the researchers name is Sharon Barnes. Her husband and I have a common ancestor, Simpson Chapman. Simpson had a son named Monroe and the Barnes ancestor was named William Chapman. And then I got two major connections with the Woodrow and Tracy and Youngs this past week too. Julia Chapman, daughter of Monroe Chapman married into the families with the latter surnames. I certainly would like to correspond with you, and I am sure Sharon Barnes would too. Thanks for posting! J Magee descendant of John Chapman twin brother of Abraham, Bucks county, Pa.
