the haikus collected in this book are the result of a process that started in 1991, when i attended a haiku workshop coordinated by poet alice ruiz, at the mário de andrade house, in são paulo. this book was nominated for the "projeto nascente 2" prize, at the university of são paulo, in 1992, in the "poetry book" category.
