♥ MUSIC FICTION >>> ANIMPORPHS >>> CHAPTER 009

"Elaphant," I grinned and pretended to write the measurements Scott was calling out to me, as everyone in the group aquried the elephant's DNA without Kyle noticing. I reach up to pat it's trunk softly, biting my lip as an electric shock ran up my arm.

"What do you reckon Attie?" Bob grinned at me, "Can you see me as an elephant?"

"What big and slow?" I laughed as he pouted.

"No, mammoth and kick ass Attie, get it right," He corrected.

"Oh, absolutely then," I nodded sarcastically.

"You guys ready for me to show you the next animal?" Kyle asked and we all turned and nodded at him silently.

I grinned at the gorilla and touched his hair gently, he grunted at me and shook his head, his black eyes twinkling mischieviously. I aquired his DNA quickly, everyone else was too scared to go near him, but I was adamant that I was gonna be a gorilla when we fought.

I quickly called out some information to Attie and walked out of the room the gorilla was in. Kyle grinned at me as we walked over to the lion's den. He had to be one of the coolest guys I'd ever met. He was the one who got my brothers and I into ice hockey, being as he was on our local team himself.

"Hey Clint," Scott called and I turned to look at him.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"What do you think of the bears?" He asked.

"I... ohhhh," I nodded, "Yeah that'd be awesome."

"Huh?" Kyle asked in confusion.

"I'm gonna do my project on the bear, can we go there next?" Scott lied.
"Sure," Kyle nodded and searched for the right key to the lion's den.

Everyone had decided what animal they wanted to be except Attie. We had finished up at the zoo and were walking to Tasha's house as it was closest. I interlaced my fingers with her and gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

"We'll be okay," I whispered.

"I hope you're right," She answered quietly.

"Hey Tasha!" Attie spoke up suddenly, "Your little sister still rides horses doesn't she?"

"Yeah," Tasha answered.

"Reckon we could go see her horse then? That's what I'll be."

"Cool idea," Diana nodded in agreeance.

Diana had decided to be a Siberian tiger, while I had opted for a lion. Bob was still excited about being an elephant, Clint was the only one brave enough to be a gorilla, and Scott had decided to be a grizzly bear. I grinned down at Tasha and imagined her as a sleek red fox. Too cute.

I still felt bad about lying to the guy at the zoo about why I had needed to see some of the animals, but it was the only way I could think of to acquire the DNA for morphing. My tranquiliser idea had flown out of the window when I realised I wouldn't be able to get all the ingredients easily, and then I had to actually find a pack of wolves.
No, the zoo was a much easier option. Safer too.
