♥ MUSIC FICTION >>> AGAINST ALL ODDS >>> CHAPTER 034

*Attie*

"You're just like a pill, instead of making me better, you keep making me ill!" I sang loudly as I poured myself another glass of Fanta in the kitchen.

"I thought you didn't like Pink," Diana laughed. "Sheh," I shrugged, "It's an addictive song. Want some more Fanta?"

"Of course," Diana smiled, coming into the kitchen with her glass, "You've got me addicted to Orange Fanta."

"Thank you, thank you. No autographs, please," I giggled. "Alright, what did they put in this Fanta anyway?" Diana chuckled, "Dude, there's not even any caffine in it. How's it making you hyper?"

"It just is," I grinned, going back into the living room with her. "Staying the night?" Scott smiled at Diana as she sat back down with him.

"Don't I always?" Diana smiled, "You going to spend the night too Lannie?"

"Well... I don't know. I don't really want my parents to throw a hissy fit," I said, biting my lip in thought.

"Come on now Lannie. After all I've taught you?" Diana grinned, "What your parents don't know won't hurt them. Just tell them you were sleeping at Nycto's house. I'm sure Nycto will cover for you."

"Spoken like a true badass rebel," Bob laughed and Diana grinned. "Damn skippy," she smiled, and I grinned making up my mind. "Alright then," I grinned, "I'm staying. Just lemme call Nycto and let her know to cover for me."

*Nycto*

"Ooh, Attie gone bad," I teased, "You're hanging around Diana too much."

"I am not," Attie laughed, "Besides, you hang with her too. Now, are you gonna cover for me so I'll actucally get a night with my friends?"

"Well...." I trailed off teasingly, "You are SO gonna owe me big time dude."

"Ah ha!" Attie grinned, "You just said 'Dude'. And Diana says that a lot. So don't go saying I hang with her too much."

"Alright alright," I laughed, "You got me. Have fun. And don't forget you guys are coming over here for dinner tomarrow night with the Cunninghams."

"Lucky me," Attie said, and I could almost see her rolling her eyes through the phone. "Yeah, well it could be worse," I commented, "Like having them kiss us. Yuk."

"You're too much," Attie giggled slightly, "Well, I'll catch ya later then."

I sighed as I hung up the phone. Christy's mom had said she was sleeping. I'd really wanted to talk to her, to appologize for the way I acted.

"What's wrong CT?" Bob asked as he stopped in front of me. "Nothing," I said forcing a smile, but I could tell he didn't buy it.

"Clint," Bob said, "I can tell somethings' up."

"Alright, there is something up, but I don't wanna talk about it now," I said, averting my eyes to the floor. "Hey, it's okay," Bob smiled, "I'm here for you when you decide to talk about whatevers' bothering you."

"Thanks," I smiled slightly, watching as he went into the bathroom.
