♥ MUSIC FICTION >>> AGAINST ALL ODDS >>> CHAPTER 010
*Christy*
"Christy, let's skate together." Clint came up to me and smiled his beautiful charming smile that always made me go crazy.
"Sure." I feel myself blush and smile a goof smile. We skated together, holding hands as Clint was trying to keep his balance.
"You've been skating longer than me, and you fall more than I do." I laugh a little.
"Hey... just give me a break. We don't get to skate much." Clint said defensively.
"Alright, alright." This was something I've always dreamt of. Holding hands with Clint and just skating around like a couple. But I felt like it could never happen. As long as I looked like a cow.
There was a bit of silence, obvious that the both of us had something on our minds. I couldn't make out what he was thinking, whether it was good or bad. Guys were always hard to figure out. I wish I knew what he was thinking... then again, I didn't want to know. What if he was asking himself why he's skating with an ugly hippo? It would hurt to hear him say that, even if he was my friend.
"Chris, I like doing this with you." He flushed a bit, his cheeks getting a hint of red.
I didn't pick up on what exactly he meant by it. I just nodded my head. "Yeah, I like spending time with you too Clint. You're my favorite friend." I say, blushing and feeling embarrassed. Why did I tell him such a thing? That's horrible. Ugh... what will he think?
"Really? Thanks."
So, it wasn't as bad as I expected.

As the song ended and a faster, upbeat song began to play, I felt like my life was going to be over as Christy and I let go of hands and started to just skate together casually. I hope for more slow songs that night so that I could have an excuse to hold Christy's hand and be near her like that.
She worried me... she worried me so much. Being "not hungry" all the time, her clothes becoming bigger. Christy wasn't a person for baggy clothes. She didn't dress releaving, but she liked her clothes fitted and liked cute things. It was adorable to watch her shop at the mall. But was it just me, or did she lose a ton of weight? She was skinny and great just as she was. I liked it... well of course I liked it. Dang she's beautiful. I mean, I have no problem with her losing weight, but too much would be dangerous. I looked over at her, watching as she smiled skating around the rink.
Man she is awesome.
"Hey Chris, you having fun?" I asked her.
Christy nodded. I decided to forget about worrying about her and just have fun with the girl that I was really into and was an amazing friend.

I watched as Nycto was skating with... that's what guy's name? Oliver I think. Something preppy like that. Anyway, I remember her. I can't believe she was in our karate class! Wow, she's matured from then. Geez... she's... wow. You know, I don't think she's all that bad looking. I remember she was one of the few girls in that class, but she was awesome. She knew her stuff. And she beat up most of the guys in the class! I wonder if she had completed up to black. Maybe I should ask her.
When she's away from... whatever his name is. I knew she was familiar. I was happy to have remember or else it would have drove me crazy for the rest of the night! I turned suddenly as I was about to bump into the wall. I hit it a little, pretending that I had meant to stop there for a break. I looked around to make sure that no one else saw me. I thought I was safe, that I had pulled off my little act well enough, when suddenly I heard a voice.
"I saw that."
I turned and saw Nytco. That Oliver guy had left for a moment I guess. She giggled as she saw my face turn as red as a tomato.
"It's our little secret." I tell her, feeling embarrassed.
