"Damnit go in!" I muttered, getting frustrated. "What's wrong Di?" Christy asked, laughing a bit. I glared at the ice skate a moment longer before looking at her.

"I can't get the laces in," I said. She smiled. "Here, I'll get it for you."

Christy kneeled down on the floor and laced up my ice skates for me. I smiled. "Thanks Chris."

"No prob," she smiled. I stood up a bit shakily. I knew how to rollerblade, but the ice was way more slippery than any street, and I hadn't rollerbladed in three months. Someone grabbed my arm, and slid another arm around my waist before I fell. Scott smiled. "You need to be careful young lady," he scolded me playfully.

I grinned. "Sorry Scotty. I'll be more carful." He grinned, and held onto my hand. "You know, if you feel like you're gonna fall, grab onto me. I won't mind at all," he winked and I laughed. "I'm sure you won't mind!"

We stepped out onto the ice where the other zipped past us. Scott and I skated slowly, holding each other's hand to keep from falling down, unlike Clint who'd fallen flat on his butt. Scott laughed as Christy helped Clint back up to his feet. "Good one CT," he laughed and Clint grinned, waving him off with his hand.

"Man, I'm so starved," I said, sitting across from Christi at the table that was beside the ice-skating rink. She wrinkled her nose. "You're hungry again?" she asked.

I grinned and nodded. "Sure am. Do you want anything? It's on me," I said, hoping she'd agree.

To my disappointment, she shook her head. "Why not?" I asked. "I'm not hungry," she replied, "But thanks anyway."

I knew something was going on. She never turned down the food here.

That, and the fact that her clothes were actually starting to hang off her body, making her look like she was attempting the baggy look.

"Are you sure?" I asked again, hoping to change her mind, but she shook her head again.

"It's ok Clint. Really. You get something."
