♥ MUSIC FICTION >>> AGAINST ALL ODDS >>> CHAPTER 003

"Christy!"

Christy turned around and saw her friend, Clint, running towards her. She stopped so that he could catch up.

"Did you forget that you were bringing me home?"

Christy laughed. "I'd never, you bring me home everyday. I just thought that you would meet me at my car."

"Oh... that's right."

Christy giggled more at Clint's forgetfulness. After she got in she opened the door for him.

"Are you hungry? I think I am." Clint said, after his stomach let out a growling sound.

"Um... well, I guess so." Christy said starting up the car and driving up to a burger joint. "I might just get... fries. Or maybe not, I'm not hungry." She said, thinking about her "diet."

"Are you sure?" Clint asked as they got in and sat down at a both. Christy nodded her head and Clint didn't ask again.

"Hello my name is Tiffany and I will be your waitress for the day." A skinny, blonde waitress walked up with a notepad with her.

Christy stared at her as Clint began ordering his food. She was very beautiful. Christy watched as Clint smiled as the girl wrote down his order. Christy assumed that he thought that she was pretty. She felt so insecure, especially when it came to Clint. She had the hugest crush on him forever, but always thought of herself as nothing Clint would go for.

"I'll be back with your order." The waitress walked away, walking that walk that drove guys nuts.

She watched as Clint watched a little and then looked at Christy.

"Are you OK?" He asked, being concerned as a friend should always be.
Christy nodded her head. "Yeah, I'm fine. You ordered a lot, didn't you?"

"Yep, I'm a growing boy." He says, patting his stomach.

Christy lifted up his arm. "You're boney though. How do you do it?"

Clint looked at her oddly. "What do you mean? I just... am this way."

Christy sighed. "I wish I could be like that."

"You... you already look good. You've always looked good." Clint said, giving her a little hint.

Christy shrugged the compliment off. "Thanks." She figured he was only saying it because he was a friend.

"I mean it Chris." He looked at her and said it sternly. Christy looked back at him, seeing how serious he was. He didn't know what "look good" meant though. Like if she was pretty or if she just... looked good, as in healthy."

"Thanks Clint." She said again.
