United States Sports Academy's
Distance Running Team

The United Staes Sports Academy has initiated a sponsorship program for post-collegiate distance runners.  The USSA Distance Running Team is a club located in Brevard, NC consisting of graduate-student athletes pursuing both development as a runner and a Master's Degree in Sport Management or Sport Coaching.  The program will assist athletes with equipment, coaching and travel to competitions in a team-like setting.
While the actual campus of the United States Sports Academy is located in Daphne, AL, this specialized program will see the Distance Running Team studying and training in the mountains of western North Carolina via the Academy's Distance Learning Program.

                  USSA Distance Running Team
  A graduate cross country / track / road team designed to 1) Continue
athelete development to the world class level, 2) Help the athlete make the transition from college to professional running 3) Help the athlete acquire individual sponsorship.
This is done by providing coaching, training and racing equipment and travel expenses to top level races in a serious team atmosphere.

The USSA Distance Running Team will assist you with:
- Serious Training Group        
- Travel to meets   
- Structured Training
- Pursuit of academic goals     
- Training equipment

As a Member of the USSA Distance Team You Will Also:
- Train based on individual goals and needs.
- Race a schedule for your personal development with a focus on US
   National Championships.
- Be eligible to accept prize money according to USATF.
- Be eligible to be individually sponsored by a shoe company or
   sponsor.

and Head Coach of the USSA Distance Running Team.

Brevard, North Carolina - The team studies and trains in
the mountains of Brevard, North Carolina.

United States Sports Academy - a fully accredited

Distance Learning with the USSA

Financial Aid - No scholarships are available at this
time, but Federal financial aid is available to most
students.
