Performance Guidelines

1              Each organization is allowed at most one (1) performance of any form/type.

2              The performers may be composed of solely UP students, solely non-UP students or a mix of the two.

3              Specific guidelines for specific forms of performances are listed below.

      a.       Audio Visual (AV) Presentations

                                          i.      AV Presentations will be subject to screening by the Production Team.

                                           ii.      AV Presentations must be submitted to the contact persons specified below no later than 6:00pm on July 4, 2006.

                                           iii.      Results of the screening will be communicated through text no later than 8:00am on July 5, 2006.

            b.      Band Presentations

                                          i.      Each band is entitled to play a maximum of three (3) songs only.

                                           ii.      Bands must submit their list of songs no later than 6:00pm on July 4, 2006 to the contact persons specified below.

                                           iii.      Songs cannot be performed twice. Liberty to choose is given on a first-come, first serve basis.

            c.       Dance Presentations

                                          i.      Each dance group is entitled to dance one (1) song only or a medley of songs not exceeding 7 minutes.

                                          ii.      Songs cannot be performed twice. Liberty of choice is given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

                                          iii.      Song/s titles must be submitted no later than 6:00pm on July 4, 2006 to the contact persons specified below.

            d.      Skit/Poetry Reading/non-band/non-dance performance/others

                                          i.      The length of time given to these performances will vary. It is the prerogative of the Production Team to decide on the matter.

            e.       Mix Presentation

                                          i.      A maximum of seven (7) minutes will be given for the presentation.

                                          ii.      The performers will have to inform the Production Committee beforehand of the arrangement of their performance.

4        The performing groups can have as many members as they wish. However, additional equipment will not be at the expense of the organizers.

5        Content of performances should exclude the following:

            a.       Provocative/graphic content

            b.      Content undermining other organizations, student, faculty, etc.

6        Performers are requested to remain sober before and during the performance. Noncompliance of this instruction is equivalent to renouncing of the group’s slot.

7        On the night itself, performers are requested to be on the venue at least an hour before their scheduled performance.

8    Attendance of meetings/briefings is vital. Noncompliance is may result in a postponement/advancement of performance schedule.
