| "Wow" Ray was amazed at the size of the complex "For being an underground organization, you guys sure have a big base". "Well" The silver-haired boy beside him said "we deliver the occasional criminal to the police, if the price is right, so they leave us alone. And no one else knows about us" "I see" Ray said as he continued looking around. | |||||||||
| There were about fifty people in the base; a lot of them appeared to be mechanics and security personnel, but there were a few who were around Ray's age, and weren't in uniforms "Probably the other bounty hunters" Ray thought. "Who's that?" Ray asked, motioning towards a young boy, who sat by himself. His hair was bright red, short in the back, but relatively long in the front, and covered his left eye. "His name is Ryan" Bobby told him "But everyone around here calls him 'Dread'. He's the one they send to take out bigger groups" | |||||||||
| "This way" Bobby motioned towards a door at the far side of the large room. He opened the door and walked in, with Ray following. The room looked small, compared to the rest of the facility, but was actually quite large. Bookcases and file cabinets lined the walls, and there was a desk in the middle of the room. Sitting at the desk, was a man, in his early twenties, talking on the phone. His hair was black and short, his eyes were blue; he wore black pants, a white collared shirt and a black tie. "How much are we talking?" he said, into the phone "I think I have the right person for the job... pleasure doing business with you, sir ... goodbye" He hung up the phone and turned to the boys "Hey, Techno" he said to Bobby, giving a surprisingly friendly smile "who's your friend?" "This is Ray" Bobby told him "he's the guy I told you about" "Hi, Ray" he stretched out his hand "I'm Logan Waldemar" "Nice to meet you" Ray said, shaking Logan's hand "Likewise" Logan stated, flashing a friendly smile, again "As you may have guessed, I have to see what you can do, before I give you the job" "Sure" Ray accepted "Techno can show you the way to the training facility" Logan said as he stood "Meet me there in ten minutes" | |||||||||
| The way to the training facility was long. There must have been fifty flights of stairs, Ray thought. They finally arrived in a large room filled with workers and computers; Logan was on the other side of the room. He gave some men a signal and a siren went off as everyone cleared the room. "Good luck" Bobby told Ray, and then he too exited. Logan's voice came over the sound system "Begin the test" | |||||||||
