TO OVER COME NICOTINE ADDICTION
Third Step Dedication
Light two white candles to align my will with spirit’s for balance. (I always have Two Large Candles that I use over and over again for different things, my God and Goddess Candle)
Light Incense or some kind of Aroma – it maybe a candle or oil. Frankincense is best to use but one can use aromatherapy of lavender, myrrh, ginger, patchouli, or sage. If you are allergic scents or cannot tolerate incenses, you may skip this part. Maybe just taste a piece of ginger, lavender flower, sage, onion, garlic or lemon. As you do this, sit and think of your nicotine addiction dissolving away and being overcome by a better way of living.
Light Black candle and place your cigarettes, NRT, or what ever it is that you are giving up next to the candle. If you don’t have any around, then draw picture of it. Then say;
“Here is that which holds me back. It is not good for me and well do I know it. It seems a mighty giant that is not to be conquered. Yet do I know that not to be so, for conquer it I will”
Light 4 White Candles and say: (Surrounding the black candle and nicotine)
“Here is my strength; here is my courage; here is my fortitude; here is my victory. Now my enemy is surrounded. Now knows he not which way to turn. The battle doth begin, yet is the end well known.
Then Say:
(Insert HP Name),
Relieve me of the bondage of self.
Help me abandon myself to the spirit.
Move me to do good in this world and show kindness.
Help me to overcome and avoid anger, resentment, jealousy and any other of negative thinking today.
Help me to help those who suffer.
Keep me alert with courage to face life and not withdraw from it, not to insulate myself from all pain whereby I insulate from love as well.
Free me from fantasy and fear. Inspire and direct my thinking today; let it be divorced from self-pity, dishonesty and self-seeking motives.
Show me the way of patience, tolerance, kindliness and love.
I pray for all of those whom I’ve been unkind and ask that they are granted the same peace that I seek.
I hereby dedicate my will and my life over to your care.
So Be It!
After a few moments more of picturing the nicotine addiction finally being overcome, extinguish the black candle. Using a snuffer is best. Some say candles should not be blown out but snuffed or pinched. Take your cigarettes or what ever it was that you used as a symbol of your addiction, and wet them and throw them out or destroy it! Another words do something that will physically remove your addiction from your surroundings then say:
“Thank you spirit for removing my addiction.”
Then in reverse order for the 4 white candles, snuff them out saying
“Thank you sweet spirit for giving me victory, fortitude, courage, and strength.
Snuff out the Two White Candles and say;
Thy Will be done!
Repeat this as often as you need to! Especially, if you just bought cigarettes, smoked, used or you feel you are becoming weak and caving into the addiction.
