Registration code

The registration code is a unique combination of numbers and letters assigned to every submission to HiLight independently of its type and length. The code reflects the date and time of receiving the submission, as follows:

letter	N note (no special file), P paper (text document), S sample (non-text document)
2 digits	full years from 1 April 1997; volume-1
letter A-L	month within the current year (from April to March)
2 digits	day of the month
digit or letter	number of submission within the day (starting from zero)
digit or letter	language/format version

The code is case-insensitive.

For example: the code p02c1540 refers to the paper submitted the fifth on 15 June 1999, original version.

The code is assigned on the basis of the earliest mail received, and the consequent reformatting, translations into other languages etc. do not affect the registration code, but the version number.
