The cultural development is dependent on the economic development. However it has its own regularities, and similar cultural phenomena may independently appear in the history of different cultures. Thus, analogous structures in the phonemic systems of different languages may be due to the common mechanisms of their formation rather than to the common origin of the languages. Musical scales may be the model of such structural development: the pentatonic and diatonic scales independently appear in many cultures, with some local peculiarities. Cultural development combines smooth evolution with distinct periodization, and there are universal culture-historical formations in parallel to the socioeconomic formations.

Logic as a level of creativity. Levels of logic:

Logic and culture. Discreteness and continuity. Logical scheme generation.
Basic schemes: monads, dyads, triads, tetrads.
Triads and development.

Fuzzy set intersection i(a,b) = ab/(1-a-b+2ab) and complement c(a) = 1-a satisfy the respective axiomatic skeletons. The union operation obtained from them using DeMorgan's laws coincides with the intersection, thus violating the boundary conditions for the fuzzy set union and fundamental inequalities.

Relation to relativistic velocity addition. The Hamacher class operations with g = 2 are “physically inconsistent” since they combine Galilean and Lorentzian velocity addition.

Simple DOS program generating moving screen patterns in EGA/VGA graphic modes. The parameters may be varied to produce very different pictures, from regular to chaotic. The program can be used in psychotherapy, or for entertainment, or as a screensaver for Windows.

Requires: any IBM compatible personal computer, EGA/VGA, MS DOS 3.x+

Classical propositional logic and set theory are known to be two instances of Boolean algebra, so that set union corresponds to logical or, while set intersection corresponds to logical and. However, this does not reflect the logical structure of set theory. Thus, any set may be considered as the union of one-element sets, the sense of this representation depending on interpretation:

Some light is shed on the question of consciousness and science when the notion of “levels of reality” is introduced. This paper shows that the idea of levels of reality which arises from quantum physics may be extended to include a third level in which “chaos” comes into play.

A hypercube in D dimensions has 2D points and every point is connected to D other points. The powerset of a set of cardinality C has 2C elements. Points in the hypercube can be thought of as elements of the powerset of a given set. Lines in that hypercube can be interpreted as subset-relationships. Moreover, if D = 2V for some V, we can interpret points in the hypercube in D dimensions in correspondence with propositions in terms of V propositional variables.

I've sketched a hypercube in 4 dimensions that represents implicational validities among propositions in terms of 2 propositional variables X and Y. The interpretation of symbols employed should be relatively straightforward, given that any operator represents application of that operator to the tupple (X, Y).

Two assumptions of object-oriented programming:

  1. There is a way to split the whole process into relatively closed parts (weak coupling), and
  2. These parts do not qualitatively change during their life (weak interaction).

The both assumptions may be invalid in a particular situation. The stronly coupled systems may exhibit collective behavior and development, and it is this collective behavior that must be described, rather than particular structures (which may be essentially not unique). In the strongly interacting system, an object may mutate after the interaction with another object, remaining essentially the same, so that the object cannot be described by a static type, class etc. A new language is required to deal with such general cases. The basic idea will be to make the language absolutely reflexive, so that any construction could be treated as object, class, or metaclass in different aspects. The limit of weak coupling can be assotiated with the internal regions of the regular flows, while the weak interaction between the objects will arise from a small level of mixing present.
