ADISQUE está ubicada en la zona Oriental de Guatemala, en el Municipio de Quetzaltepeque en el Departamento de Chiquimula. La población Ch'orti' es cada vez menor y se encuentra en un proceso de asimilación. Se estima que solo el 20 por ciento de ellos habla todavía el Ch'orti'. Sus socios y socias producen café, hortalizas (la cebolla es muy apetecida), maíz y fríjol. La temperatura en esta zona es bastante caliente (40ºc). It is located in the East of Guatemala, in the Municipality of Quetzaltepeque in the Department of Chiquimula. More and more often this minority group is extinguishing. They are being assimilating by the dominant culture (ladinos). It is estimated that only 20 per cent speaks the Ch'orti' language. The partners grow coffee, vegetables, corn and beans. Unlike in the highlands of Guatemala, the temperature in this area is very hot (40ºc). Juan Salazar --to the left side on the picture-- is one of the beneficiaries.
