(December 2006) - Last Worst Year
So, it's that time of year again. The end of the year - December. Christmas, New Year's, Summer Holidays... The very same procedure we go through every year. It's the time of stress and regret. Let's take a look back on my 2006.

The year started out well. A promotion, a visit from my brother and dear friend Andrew. It's unfortunate that all went pear-shaped towards the middle of the year. Work was never better - more money, more challenging work -- past Australian Food Safety Certification and Basic Management Training with flying colours. I was transferred to a busier store with more opportunity.

Then it all went to crap. My girlfriend left me, for someone in Europe. For someone online. Now, sure, I use the internet as much as the next guy - I have a website for God's sake, but cheating on someone over the internet is completely beneath me. Still, the heart can be broken in too many ways, it seems.

And now, I'm back at NSW, living in the hole that is Raymond Terrace. Sure, I got a higher payed job (back at Hungry Jack's - through a company owned store), and yeah, I suppose the future looks up... sort of. It just seems that at the end of 2006, with all that I have accomplished, I've taken a step back. It almost seems I'm destined to fail.

But alas, my fellow TyCorpians, I will always battle on. I have a new direction for TyCorp. No more should it be about wasting time through meaningless entertainment. It should be about making goals come true.

We all have goals, like buying a car, getting a promotion, marrying your sweetheart - and why can't we have a forum in which we can talk freely about our goals and objectives? TyCorp will usher in the new year, 2007, and will endeavour to ensure ALL our New Year's Resolutions will be met, to avoid winding up at the end of the year, feeling sorry and depressed.

Until 2007, stay well.
