SPELLING ERROR
We wanted to do cartwheels over Titans, we really did. NBC's new Aaron Spelling primetime soap, boasting a heady lineup of ex-daytimers, is lushly produced and well enough actedexcept, that is, by the impossibly wooden Casper Van Dien (One Life To Live)but this show about screwed-up rich people commits a grievous sin: It is way too tame and tasteful. And what's the point of that when TV offers us trash hounds so many succulently shocking serialsfrom Passions and The Bold and the Beautiful by day to Popular and the unruly new Grosse Pointe by night? Titans plays it safe. That's never a good sign for a soap.
