With reports suggesting that the reason that Bernice Liu did not receive an award at this year's TVB anniversary because she would not sign an eight-year contract with the company, Fala responded to questions for her thoughts by saying that she was not clear about this. She added that everyone has their own personal matters, but she did not believe the company would deprive someone of an award over contractual matters.

As Fala and Kate Tsui both won awards this year for their performances in Steps, she was asked whether or not she would be celebrating with the cast and crew who worked on the series. Fala said that she hopes to be able to invite everyone out for a meal.
