Tunkashila means grandfather, and while I am not Native American,
I am a grandfather who respects and admires the Native American cultures
Here are a few of those tribes and nations.
If you know of up-to-date websites that accurately tell of other tribes,
please e-mail me about them and I will add them to this page.

Historically the U.S.A. has treated the Native American peoples horrendously.
Of the 437 treaties signed by the U.S. and a Native American group,
the U.S. has broken all 437, while the Native Americans have yet to go back
on their promised word once.  Wander through this site and I believe you will
see that preconceived ideas about Native Americans are unworthy of your attention.
This site, with its many links, exists for one purpose.  To help
non-Native Americans develop an appreciation for Native American cultures.
