| Tubular Luggage has 4 albums. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| If you wanted to read about them, there is no better time than now, no better place than here. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Thoughts on New Apple in Town: We recorded this all in one night, and a bit of it the morning after. It is not musically a good album, but it still has some nice songs. Addison was just starting to improve on guitar. Joe plays keyboards and kazoos. The kazoo solos on Freddy the Bird and Crazy Boy, although later replaced by bass, are quite wonderful. There is a lot of odd experimentation in songs like Sleeping on The Phone and It Sure Is. Perhaps one of Tubular Luggage's most popular songs, CARLOS JAM, is seen here in it's original and finest form. Other popular songs include the original Freddy The Bird and Christmas In The Front Yard. This is one for tubular fans, although the good tracks appear on the best hits. |

| Thoughts on Lunch Pail: This was recorded in one night as well, but several of the songs were already written. This album is much nicer than the first. It is very catchy and very listenable. The band has become better at what they do and they have developed a sound now. It features much less experimentation, although the experiments like butterscotch rope and lemons and limes do not sound as good as the ones on the first album. Ants are walking around was recorded at about 3 AM and you can tell. The all time favorites on this album are Hello Gunther and Tom and Sam, although songs like 16 Months and Customer Report are also very nice. This album is for everyone. |

| Thoughts On Secrets of Asia: This album was actually recorded in two sessions, about a month apart. The first 5 songs were recorded at the first one. They are pretty good, they show a large increase in Addison's guitar skills. Carlos Jam Pt. II, a disappointing try to improve the orignal, was recorded at the same time as ants are walking around but was left off Lunch Pail because it sucked. This ruined Tubular Luggage's plan to have a new version of carlos on each album. Carlos was apparently not as versatile as they imagined. At some point, the band came up with the idea to create a rock opera. But with a lack of creativity at the time, they based it on Disney's Mulan. It was a classic tale of a girl who enters the army as a man to save her father. It was whipped together rather quickly. The lyrics all do a very good job of telling stories, but the music itself is repetitive and drags. It is hard to listen through the whole thing. This is the first time Joe is featured on bass, but it's bad. Addison's guitar is good on discussions in china, and happiness in china is also a good song. The standout on this album however is definetly Dress Like a Man, a tune as catchy as anything the band had done before, and the lyrics tell the beautiful story of Mulan and her family. Tacked onto the end is a sparkling new version of Freddy the Bird, the version that made Tubular Luggage what it is today. |

| Comments on the new album by joe: I'll just pretend I didn't write all of those other things and write this one as myself. I think this album is really different. This is an actual album instead of all the others which are just a bunch of songs. We have fun on this one but we also kind of really make music. We made nice little intro/conclusions that I think are nice. I've got a hat was written for lunch pail but it finally shows up here and it fits right it. Our first covers, Baba O' Riley and Let it Rain sound pretty nice, although they are not serious. Crazy Boy is redone in a sort of dark misty way that sounds great, bass instead of kazoo and more verses. Freddy the bird is remixed which is very different sounding but lovely. People/sand is a strange mandolin very tale in a distant land, ocean of your love is a jam that is better than one might expect. Secret Box is a joke that goes out to will and all the folks at brad williams. Trouble for Rupert is a personal favorite, the chorus is incredible catchy and the jews harp is my finest hour. Cloudy Clouds is probably my favorite song on this album. My favorite color is a nice little different kind of love song if it is a love song, maybe im singing about a color. Shapes is addisons nice little shape adventure. Steves day out is a dark song that we had to record for the album. Colors in time was originally 10 minutes long but has been cut down and it sounds good now. Some people think this album is actually pretty good, and I must agree. |

| Other Stuff: Greatest Hits: Albums 1-3 This is a nice sampler that takes the crap off New Apple in Town, Lunch Pail, and Secrets of Asia. The Gongon Sessions The Gongon Sessions is everything from 4 takes of "orange peel" to Sharee Sharoo. It includes outtakes and different versions and mixes of songs, and also a few little things that we didn't put on the albums. Don't listen to this stuff, I'm just putting this on here so it fills up the page. Other Works By The Boys: |

| Me Vs. The Environment EP (2004) Brad Williams 1. Secret Box 2. The Loner 3. Secret Box Jam 4. Secret Box Acoustic 5. Secret Box Demo |
Notes on Me Vs. The Environment: The famous Brad Williams EP by Joe Winer and Will Compernolle. Will appears on Sharee Sharoo playing tambourine in Baba O'Riley. He is a good friend of the band. This album includes 4 versions of Secret Box as well as a cover of Neil Young's "The Loner." Secret Box is a pretty good song. Joe and Will continue to work together, and their next work is a conception piece entitled "Wonderful Map." |

| Notes on Ice-O-Scope: A set of solo recordings originally intended to be some sort of odd concept. Probably not going to end up as an album, the tracks are listed alphabetically. Some of the songs are being fixed up to become Luggage songs, and perhaps an album eventually. |
