Houston, TX -Khadijah Adul Hagg scored 27 points, making 15-20 free throws as the University of Arkansas at Pine-Bluff defeated Texas Southern, 67-57, in overtime women's basketball action, Monday, January 21, in the H&PE Arena.
Whitney Stewart added 12 rebounds and seven points for the Lady Golden Lions (4-10, 2-6) who outscored TSU 15-5 in the overtime frame en route to victory.
Kanesha Randle scored 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Tigers (6-9, 1-5) to lead four players in double figures. Crystal Robinson and Kim Davis added 12 points. Tammy Barber tossed in 11 points and nine rebounds.
UAPB outshot TSU 36% to 27%. The Lady Golden Lions outrebounded the Lady Tigers 49-34.
The Lady Tigers return to action, 5:30 p.m., Saturday, January 26, against Alabama State in Montgomery, Alabama.
