Houston, TX -Kanesha Randle scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Tigers to a 83-76 overtime victory against Mississippi Valley, Saturday, January 19 in the H&PE Arena.
The win was the first for Texas Southern (6-8, 1-4) in league play. Kim Davis and Crystal Robinson added 18 points and Antricia Klaiber came off the bench to score 11 points and seven rebounds.
LaKeisha Payne led all scorers with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Tasha Kenny added 18 points and Letesha King notched a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Mississippi Valley (1-12, 0-4) outshot TSU 45% to 39%. Both teams had 45 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers return to action, 5:30 p.m., Monday, January 21 against Arkansas Pine-Bluff in the H&PE Arena.
