Houston, TX.-Michael Sneed scored 16 points off the bench to lead Texas Southern (2-11, 2-3) to a 72-69 win against Mississippi Valley, Saturday, January 19 in the H&PE Arena.
Sneed also added six rebounds and shot 6-8 from the field in only 22 minutes of action.
Stephen Hoyer scored 13 points and Jamaal Clark pitched in 10 points and seven rebounds.
Ashley Robinson led Mississippi Valley (6-5, 3-3) with 21 points and five rebounds. D'Jamel Jackson added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Delta Devils who outshot the Tigers 39% to 38%. TSU outrebounded Mississippi Valley 41-40.
The Tigers return to action, 7:30 p.m., Monday, January 21 against Arkansas Pine-Bluff in the H&PE Arena.
