     atonement: amends for wrong-doing; expiation.
     bicameral: composed of two houses, chambers or branches.
     Decalogue: the Ten Commandments.
     decimate: to destroy a great number or proportion of.
     dichotomy: division into two usually contradictory parts or opinions.
