Zell Miller, Democrat speaker at the GOP convention said, a dozen years ago, he stood before a national convention in the Garden and said he was a Democrat because "we are the party of hope." As he said, "that was back then."

For the past 50 years of Democratic control of both houses and the Presidency, I could never see where they ever were the party of hope. They have always been the party of "take."

You don't tax people to death, redistribute wealth from those that work, to give to programs like welfare, (which I might add, has grown larger than ever and never seems to help the poor get out of their dependency of free money from those of us that work for a living).

As Miller continued, "Time after time in our history, in the face of great danger, Democrats and Republicans worked together to ensure that freedom would not falter, but not today. Motivated more by partisan politics than by national security, today's Democratic leaders see America as an occupier, not a liberator."

You die-hard Democrat liberals that like to quote the clique "don't bother me with the facts, I've already made up my mind" will never get it. No matter how your party votes, no matter what your party stands for, you vote yourself out of the hard earned dollars you have worked so hard to hang on to and do something with and keep whining about it. You're a die-hard democrat and nothing will change that. Not even the facts.

Big government is not good. Higher taxes are not good. Social programs are, on the most part, not good. Bigger government is not good. Being controlled by special interest groups is not good. Maybe you will wake up someday. But from what I've witnessed in the past 40 years, you won't. You'll continue to be the "good ole' Democrat" that you have been all these years and keep electing the high spenders and most liberal people you can find!
