| WHAT
HAPPENED TO YOU AMERICA?

America
was designed as the most wonderful political
experiment in human history. America became the
greatest nation in the world.
Based on the concepts of individual freedoms and
personal responsibility, these united States of
America grew to be the envy of the world. No
other nation grew as fast as America did, became
as strong as America did, offered as much
leadership to the world as America did, and
accomplished all this in as short a period of
time as America has.
Somewhere along the way, however, America
changed. The federal government used to be
Protector; now it is Provider.
Where America used to have a System of Justice,
it now has a System of Laws and Procedures.
What once was the Land of Opportunity has become
the Land of Guaranteed Handouts.
America used to be the Land of the Free, but now
we see many freedoms restricted for the sake of
"the greater good."
What was created as a Constitutional Republic has
become a representative democracy.
America has evolved into something the Founding
Fathers tried to avoid, and no one seems to have
noticed.
America has been taken over by the perpetual
politician and benign bureaucrat, and no one had
to fire the first shot.
Where once America was a nation "of the
people, by the people, and for the people,"
now it is a nation ruled by politicians and
staffers, most of who seem to be more concerned
about their longevity than their
responsibilities.
The benefits after public service have become the
motivation for public service.
We used to elect our representatives for their
integrity. Now the President can lie to the
nation about affair after affair, and his friends
try to convince us that personal integrity is
unrelated to the job of the President.
A recent CNN poll showed that about 75% of
Americans either: 1) believe our country is
headed in the wrong direction, or 2) fear that
our government will do something against him/her
wrongfully.
This is a sad state of affairs when three-fourths
of Americans believe the federal government is
simply out of control and unaccountable to We The
People.
What is wrong with this picture?
Could
it be that we are faced with a political
influence or force which is Democracy
and it is trying to cancel out our historical
Republic existance?
Where the People
fear the Government - you have tyranny;
Where the Government fears the People - you have
rights.
