One of the recognizable differences between conservatives and liberals is their view of America. Listening to tinsel-town liberals rage about the United States, it has become clear that the left hates its own country and that for which it stands.

Michael Moore's chanting as he was overseas speaking to Britain's crowds, said about Americans, "Americans are possibly the dumbest people on the planet," and that "We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We don't know about anything that's happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing."

Let's consider the California Assembly. According to an editorial penned by Assemblyman John Campbell, that state's legislature conducts a number of "celebrations" every year, including Cinco de Mayo and the Chinese New Year, but not July the 4th. As I said, you can see it at every turn.

In California, when an attempt was made to have an Independence Day ceremony this year, Democrats refused, and a memorandum from the Speaker's office stated "problems have arisen both with regards to the spirit, content and participation of various individuals with regard to the ceremony."

You can see it at every turn.

Our system extends freedoms to everyone in order that they are left to pursue their own dreams and raise their own families. But the left views average Americans as it views the President -- as a collection of uneducated buffoons who are too ignorant to know what's best for them, to know best how to spend their own money, and to properly raise their own children.

The left also combats genuine optimism with misinformation and propaganda. For instance, were you aware that the U.S. economy is exhibiting its strongest growth since 1984, or that the economy has created 1.5 million jobs since August, 2003? Probably not if you rely on the mainstream media for your news.

What you probably have heard are liberal pundits who still insist that ours is the worst economy since the Great Depression, or that the economic recovery is "jobless," even though the current unemployment rate is identical to the jobless figure observed when Bill Clinton ran for re-election in 1996 -- when the economy wasn't an issue.

And as an added bonus, the Democratic Party has set itself up to be the political beneficiary of the following synopsis: another successful terrorist strike against Americans, U.S. military fatalities, cruelty against our enemy insurgent prisoners, Americans losing their jobs, a stock market crash, and the Iraqi and/or Afghan people squandering their freedoms and slipping back under tyranny.

In other words, Democrats have set their table so that the demise of others elevates their chances of political success. They do this by turning our success into failure, reporting all bad news and ignoring the good and spreading despair and gloom.

Democrats crave nothing more than to return to the oval office to capture the power, once again, over "we" ignorant little folk. Maybe they're afraid we ignorant little folk will finally wake up and smell their dirty laundry of leading America down the slippery slopes of decay.

But, unfortunate for them, they need economic despair and an American military defeat to get there, so they hire Billionaire Soro to pay for their dirty work once again.
