1. General
WWS Was created by Troy Gaddis, it is a basic wrestling simualtor, expected to be used by those who run
e-feds, BUT, could be used for you own personal entrainment, is IS FREE...if someone else has distributed
you this game, not from the official website, and you paid, you got TRICKED...
______________________________________________________________________________________
2. Files - Where they need to be
The program needs the files to be in a certain folder for it to be able to recall the data for them, such as fed's
or wrestlers, The DEFAULT folder (not changed by you at installation time) is C:\Program Files\WWS 2.0\
when you save a federation, wrestler etc... They go to that adress, the matches generated go there to, but
well discuss that later, if your having trouble deleting files from the program, you just go to that file, and
delete the approptiate file, if you are unsure on how to get to C:\Program Files\WWS 2.0\ (i dont see how)
you double click on "My Computer", then go to "C:\" then go to "Program Files" then go to "WWS 2.0". like
the Included files, if you extracted them, they went to C:\Program Files\WWS 2.0\ (unless you told it to
extract elsewhere). you dont HAVE to extract these files, its just, Feds, Wrestlers, Refs, and announcers.
****************
2a- Edit Files
I was unable to add a feature to edit files in the program, to edit a file, go to C:\Program Files\WWS 2.0\
(default installation location), double click on the file type you want to edit, such as, wwf.fed . and a window
will pop up saying there is'nt anything to run this, and you can choose something manually, YOU MUST
CHOOSE NOTEPAD... then , all of the files like it, will have a little notepad logo instead of the windows logo.
double click it, and you will see the info, edit it, like, a belt, if you ACCEDENTLY named it, Workd, instead
or world, you can change it! Like, on Wrestlers, the rocks NOTEPAD edit reads, NOTHING BUT:
The Rock
The Rock Bottom
Miami, Florida
6'4"
270 Lbs.
You have to assume you know what each is...duh... on MANY wrestlers, i dont KNOW there info, so its
not there, or blank, i do however put "WEIGHT HERE" if you edit the file, you put it, since it wont show
up in matches like, "weighing in at WEIGHT HERE", so..its ok.
______________________________________________________________________________________
3. Main Screen Options
The screen that pops up when you run the program...below is an explination for each function.
****************
3a- E-Fed Attributes
This is where to create Fed's, real or fake, with the following fields, Presidents Name: Where you put in the
Prez's name, like Vince McMahon, or, a nickname, like, Tough Tom | Presidents E-Mail: Where you can reach
the owner of the fed. | E-Fed Initials: like, WWF or EHWF, ussually the first letter of each word in the
name of the federation. | Web URL: the website for the fed (if any) like, http://www.wwf.com | E-Fed Name:
The FULL name of the federation, like WWF, is World Wrestling Federation.
****************
3b- The Rosters
All of the wrestlers created, regardless of the fed they are in, scroll the file list to see who you have, i dont
recomend naming the FILENAME, like, 1, or asrg, name it AFTER The wrestler, so when having matches,
you know what file to highlight, to get what you want!
****************
3c- The Referee's
Making referee's for match, these people count pins, count outs, etc... you have to have at least one of these
people to call matches!
****************
3d- The Announcers
These are the guys that say "Now coming to the ring", even though alot of matches MAY not use these, its
good to have at least one.
****************
3e- Commentators
This will be the guy that calls the match move by move, you NEED one of these guys, they will say stuff like
JIM ROSS: Wrestler 1 Just hit a huge DDT on Wrestler 2!
****************
3f- The Titles
Not an importaint factor, just creating belts, like, the World Belt, or the Hardcore Belt
****************
3g- Move Lists
Not Too Importaint, have to use CODE for input names, like "; w1$;", here is the code (INCLUDE "" MARKS)
Wrestler 1: ";w1$; "
Wrestler 2: "; w2$; "
Referee: "; refname$; "
Commentator: "; comm1$; "
Announcer: "; ann1$; "
Example Move: "; w1$; " Hits "; w2$; " With a Big Right Hand!
*****************
3h- Have A Match
Depending on what match you choose, a screen will come up, highlight the filename for each catagorie, like
Ref, Wrestler 1 etc..TO CHOOSE WHO WINS: The winner will ALWAYS be the wrestler you have in the place
of WRESTLER 1. then click Run and Save Match, enter a filename that you can remember, like, if you had
a card called rage, call it "rage", then the File WILL BE saved as a Text Documents (like this one) you know
.txt, you may ask, What if i run an e-fed, and have monday rage, i dont want to sim 6 matches and have 6
diferent files, well, run the card In order the way you want it, if you have the opening match, and the file
name is rage, then, set-up another match, and save the filename --->EXACTLY<--- as the one before, rage
THEN both match WILL BE ON THE SAME .txt (Text) Document!!!!! so you could have all six in one text doc.
if your someone who has an e-fed, and just replace the HTML file each time the results are up, just open the
file, and click save as... ,then name it the correct path name, like on your website, if the link to it is, like
http://geocities.com/yoursite/rageresults.html , then, save it as rageresults then ADD .html IN THE FILE
NAME, like, if your name was rage, which would be, rage.txt , when the save as... screen is up, name it
rage, THEN ACTUALLY PUT .html after rage, like, rage.html, it will convert it into an HTML file!....so
it will save it as a HTML document, and you can upload it to your site, if you have something else, or
run it over e-mail, just Copy/Paste the reuslts there, (highlight text, right click, click copy, go to location, click
paste).
****************
31- The Arenas
Not importaint, just a feature, enter the Arena's name, like, Conseco Field House, or, ECW Arena, and put
##,### (23,500) or another number for capacity.
______________________________________________________________________________________
4. Web Explorer
This is just a nice little extra with the program, has nothing to do with wrestling, but, what the heck. It has
alot of the basic functions of a basic browser, when you click home, it wont go back to the default adress of
the browser, it will look on you PC for the site you have marked for home on you REAL broswer.
______________________________________________________________________________________
5. Quit WWS 2.0 (function)
This is the CORRECT way to exit WWS 2.0, if you just hit the X, theres a chance youy PC will still consider
it still running, and may cause errors, luckilly, when you create stuff, it saves it then and there, so you wont
by crying if you accidentilly hit the button.
______________________________________________________________________________________
6. How to Un-Install WWS 2.0
There is no actuall thing to run to un-install this game, to get rid of ALL componets, hit the Start Button, go
to Programs, then go to WWS 2.0, RIGHT CLICK it, and click delete, delete it, then open up the following
location, C:\Program Files\ and HIGHLIGHT the WWS 2.0 File, and click delete, delete it, THERE you just
Un-Installed WWS 2.0!
