| I thought that this time we were gonna last forever But I should've known it wouldn't happen, ever!! You fooled 'cause this was our best time ever And this time we never argued while we were together! I'm surprised we lasted as long as we did I made plenty of mistakes, but I'll never regret whom I made them with! You saw the best in me and pointed out the reasons for me to live And some of our times together, I wish we'd relive! You never gave up on me even when I'd fall short You'd hide it well when you were walking out my door! Don't ever again tell me not to cry anymore If you really loved me, I'd never have a reason to cry for! You never call just to see how I'm doing But, if you do, I won't be here, 'cause I'll just be losing! Don't tell me that you just don't wanna hurt me 'Cause I know the truth behind all this choosing! We'd been together, off and on, for almost a year And when I'd cry, you'd kiss away my every tear! I won't be around any longer, 'cause you don't want me near I can cry all I want now, 'cause you don't wanna be around enough to hear!!
